Rule-Based Habits
The Trade Process Loop
Consistent trading results stem from structured execution habits. TradeLab organizes every trade into a five-step disciplined sequence.
Prepare
Verify higher-timeframe market structure, major key levels, and economic releases before touching order entry.
Plan
Define session scope, explicit setup triggers, and non-negotiable structural invalidation rules beforehand.
Size the Risk
Calculate monetary risk in dollars and evaluate required target distance for balanced risk-to-reward ratios.
Record
Log instrument direction, setup context, emotional state, and immediate post-trade lessons without distortion.
Review
Inspect cumulative R-multiple progression, win rate balance, and psychological discipline patterns over time.
Tool by Tool: How to Use TradeLab
Each TradeLab tool targets a specific phase of your preparation and review. Examine what each tool accomplishes, how to operate it, and where its educational boundaries lie.
Treat uncompleted checklist items as automatic stop signs. Skipping even one item turns planned trading into impulsive guessing.
Review higher-timeframe bias and mark support/resistance levels on the chart.
Check the economic calendar to avoid holding unplanned risk through high-impact events.
Check off each parameter sequentially to verify setup readiness before placing an order.
Does not generate trade signals, recommend entries, or automate order placement to any brokerage.
Keep rules concise and binary. A rule that cannot be verified in five seconds is too ambiguous to protect your capital under pressure.
Select the instruments and trading sessions where your educational focus is concentrated.
Draft clear written rules for higher-timeframe bias confirmation and execution invalidation.
Copy your generated plan summary into your personal notes to review at the start of each session.
Does not provide automated trading scripts, strategy backtesting, or proprietary indicator codes.
Fix your maximum risk percentage before scanning charts. Letting setup excitement dictate your risk sizing leads directly to account drawdown.
Input your current account balance allocation and target risk percentage (e.g., 1.0% to 2.0%).
Enter your planned stop-loss distance measured in points or pips based on your technical invalidation.
Select your target ratio (1:1, 1:2, or 1:3) to inspect the required target distance and potential reward multiple.
Does not calculate contract lots or position sizes. Instrument-specific lot sizing requires contract size, tick value, and currency conversion not included here.
Record emotional notes immediately after closing the trade. Delaying entry allows hindsight rationalization to erase valuable psychological insights.
Select the traded instrument and indicate your planned direction (Long or Short).
Document the specific setup catalyst, your emotional mindset during execution, and key takeaways.
Optionally assign an R-multiple outcome (+2.0R, -1.0R) to feed the integrated session performance log.
Does not persist or synchronize entries across visits or devices. Entries live in temporary browser memory for the current visit only.
Focus on average R and consistency rather than high win rate. A 40% win rate with a 2:1 reward ratio reliably outpaces a 70% win rate with uncontrolled losses.
Add at least 3 to 5 journal entries with recorded R-multiple results in the interactive journal.
Inspect the session win rate, average R outcome, and the ratio of winning to losing trades.
Examine the cumulative R curve to observe how drawdowns and winning sequences behave over consecutive trades.
Does not import third-party broker history, verify live P&L, or provide regulatory-audited track records.

1. Visit-Only Storage
All TradeLab state—including checked pre-trade items, drafted trading plans, and journaled entries—lives exclusively in browser memory for your current session. Reloading or closing the tab resets state to ensure no unencrypted user notes are left on shared devices. Permanent per-member storage is planned once authenticated database persistence is active.
2. Risk Estimates, Not Lot Sizing
The TradeLab Risk Planning Calculator provides educational estimates of monetary dollar exposure and target distance based on user-provided stop values. It does not calculate position size or contract lots. Brokerage lot calculation requires contract units, pip values, and currency conversions not included in this tool.
3. Educational Tools, Not Advice
TRADIA is an online trading education platform. None of the TradeLab tools generate trade signals, execution recommendations, or personalized investment advice. Market data examples and simulations are illustrative teaching aids designed to reinforce disciplined risk management.
Educational Risk Disclosure: Trading financial markets involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every individual. TRADIA provides educational content and analytical tools only; we do not provide personalised investment advice, portfolio management, or trade execution services. Past educational performance and illustrative simulations do not guarantee future results.
