Bring Your Broker Data into TRADIA — Coming Later.
Broker connection is planned so members could one day import trade history directly into the journal and analytics workspace. Today nothing is connected, and all platform analytical tools operate with local, in-memory entries.
Live Broker Synchronization is Under Exploration
TRADIA cannot link a real broker account, read brokerage balances, or place market orders. We do not partner with or endorse any specific broker or liquidity venue. Below is a transparent overview of what works inside TRADIA today versus what remains purely planned for future development.
- ▪Manual trade entry: Record trades, trade directions, entry/exit prices, and stop losses into the TradeLab journal for your current visit.
- ▪CSV trade import: Import historical trade exports via CSV into the Trading Analytics workspace for in-memory session review.
- ▪Process analytics: Evaluate discipline rules, process leak adjustments, and emotion outcome logs during your visit.
- ▪No account linking: No OAuth, API key, or credential handshake exists to link any brokerage.
- ▪No balance or position sync: TRADIA cannot inspect broker balances, margin requirements, or open floating trades.
- ▪No trade execution: TRADIA is strictly educational and analytical; it cannot submit, modify, or cancel orders on any exchange or broker.
How to Choose a Broker
TRADIA does not rank, endorse, or recommend specific brokers. Use this objective checklist to evaluate any brokerage firm independently before opening an account.
Regulation & Licensing
Verify licensing directly on official regulatory registries.
Never rely on badges placed in a broker website footer. Search the official registry of recognised authorities (e.g. FCA, ASIC, SEC/FINRA, or your jurisdiction's securities commission) to confirm active registration, legal entity name, and investor compensation scheme eligibility.
Costs, Spreads & Commissions
Audit the total transaction cost structure beyond headline claims.
Headline tight spreads can widen significantly during news events or off-market hours. Review financing/swap rates on overnight positions, deposit or withdrawal fees, currency conversion charges, and account inactivity penalties.
Platform Stability & Tooling
Test terminal responsiveness, charting depth, and device access.
Confirm that charting tools, order entry interfaces, and mobile applications operate reliably during high-volatility sessions without server disconnects, frequent requotes, or unexpected terminal crashes.
Deposit & Withdrawal Conditions
Understand funding channels, processing timelines, and withdrawal requirements.
A disciplined trader always verifies withdrawal terms prior to depositing funds. Note required withdrawal methods (often must match initial deposit source), documented turnaround times, and any threshold limits.
Account Protections & Client Support
Inspect negative balance protection, segregated accounts, and support quality.
Ensure client funds are held in segregated accounts with tier-1 banks. Check if negative balance protection is legally enforced, and test customer support responsiveness via ticket, phone, or live chat during market hours.
Execution Model & Order Types
Identify execution routing and available risk mitigation orders.
Know whether your broker routes orders via straight-through processing (STP/ECN) or acts as a market maker (dealing desk). Confirm support for critical order types including guaranteed stop losses, limit orders, and trailing stops.
What a Future Connection Could Do
Review the planned capabilities currently under design research. Each item is marked Planned and is not active in the current platform release.
Import Trade History into Journal
Seamlessly pull past executed trades, entry prices, timestamps, and position sizes into the TradeLab journal without repetitive manual record-keeping.
Automatic Journal Entries
Convert closed trades directly into pre-populated journal drafts where you can promptly record trade notes, setup catalysts, and execution screenshots.
Performance Analytics from Imported Trades
Run statistical edge calculations, win-rate distributions, holding duration patterns, and mistake-cost deductions on verified historical fills.
Read-Only Architecture by Design
Strict scope isolation ensuring any integration is permanently restricted to reading historical transactions, completely separated from trade execution pathways.
Security Principles We Would Require
Before any live connection technology is integrated into TRADIA, our team would mandate strict architecture boundaries. These principles reflect planned design standards, not existing live certifications:
Tokens and permissions would be restricted strictly to past closed trade history and statement records.
TRADIA would never request, store, or accept permissions to open, modify, or close market orders.
No transfer, cash movement, or withdrawal authorization would ever be supported or requested.
Join the Broker Interest List
Let us know which broker you currently trade with and which asset classes matter most to you. We will notify you if read-only integration testing opens in the future.
